Etherium (of light & ceilinged things);

last week i performed one of my newest choreographed belly dances for an incredibly kind&beautiful couple at their breathtaking egyptian wedding; it was somewhat of a favour to them both, somewhat of an opportunity for the experience, and i did not stay long after but for affectionate thank yous and a brief visit with the newly married couple. we talked for a short while; the (adorable) bride seemed excited to learn of my reverential love for & deep affinity with the egyptian goddess Bastet. she too, she said, felt a kinship with her, &she must have felt compelled to offer me more of a thank you than i’d already received; (because) this morning i found a lovingly wrapped gift beside my front door, a beautiful foot-high statue of the feline goddess herself.

oh, some days, you guys. these giving spirits. this swollen heart.
